Prerrequisitos

Basic office skills: basic use of word processors or spreadsheets, file management (copy, move, delete, ...) and basic interaction with any operating system.

LibreOffice and OpenOffice are licensed open source projects, and are freely available for download on various platforms.

The aim of this course is to teach students tricks and good practices when working and creating office documents for an academic/university/professional environment, and thus achieve quality documents, with professional, secure, lasting and easy to modify results. The course will provide sufficient notions to produce documents for large projects, final degree projects or theses, create technical and mathematical documentation, maintain bibliographies, edit collaboratively, control document versions, sign digitally, configure and adapt work environments, etc.

You will also gain the necessary knowledge for a correct configuration of the office suite, either LibreOffice, customisation and adaptation of the same, as well as where to obtain it and how to complement it with more functionalities through extensions.

Metodoloxía

The course will be eminently practical and adapted to different levels. Whether you are a regular office automation user or a beginner, this course will provide you with enough notions to make a quality leap in the creation of office automation documents. The skills that will be obtained will greatly facilitate the creation of documentation works, being more agile and quicker in the elaboration of the same and with much more professional final results.

Each of the topics consists of a theoretical part, detailing the procedures for working with the different Writer options. At the end of each topic there is a self-assessment test.

The platform measures the connection time of each participant, a criterion that will be taken into account:

  • Participation (minimum 10 hours of connection)
  • Continuous assessment by means of: tests, consultation in forums, etc...
  • Possibility of a final test

There will be 4 voluntary videoconferences of approximately 1 hour's duration, through the Zoom platform, in which doubts will be raised and solved, as well as other aspects and dynamics.
